Free Flow Oil Services - Gas and Oil Chemicals
Stimulation and Completion
Well stimulation is performed on an oil or gas well to increase production by improving the flow of hydrocarbons from the drainage area into the well bore. Hydraulic fracturing is especially useful and necessary in fractured reservoirs such as shale. Additives are used in the completion process to speed flowback of frac fluids to the wellbore and subsequent oil flow.
Production
Production chemicals are employed to keep the well operating at maximum efficiency and include corrosion and scale inhibitors, paraffin reducers, and biocides.
Pipeline
The larger cross-country crude oil transmission pipelines or trunk lines bring crude oil from producing areas to refineries. There are approximately 72,000 miles of crude oil system lines (usually 8 to 24 inches in diameter) in the United States that connect regional markets.
